A snug bed is one of the greatest items a person with back pain is capable of having. A good bed should be company enough to support the body in alignment but not so solid as to apply pressure on the hips, shoulders and other points of contact. Platform bed frames work to mimic the structural benefits of sleeping on the floor but eradicate the mold and elevation concerns around it. Platform support frames are very low to the ground, however. They are usually constructed of a flat wooden slab that is raised slightly from the floor. Platform frames provide a stable foundation for the mattress of your choice without the risk of warping or maybe sagging. Panel frames resemble platform frames, but rather than one solid slab, panel beds have a number of wooden panels that fit together to form a base. These bed glasses have the advantage of extra level, a footboard and a head board, but they generally require extra support in the design of a box spring as well as bunkie board to prevent the mattress from sagging in the middle of panels. A bunkie board is simply a thin piece of plywood coated in fabric providing you with extra support to your bed. While this eliminates the importance of a box spring, that adds an extra component to your bed configuration, which means another cost. Cost Panel and platform beds have obvious advantages over typical field spring frames. Platform mattresses have the advantage of simplicity and cost over panel furniture. Platform beds are easier in design; some have drawers built into them which usually raises the price, but a queen-size platform frame can be purchased for under $150. Panel patterns are more ornate and are likely to cost over $300, depending on size. Bunkie boards usually cost at least 50 dollars, and the price varies through size.
